Concept preview.

West 47th Street, between Fifth and Sixth

Cameras, doors and wiring for the jewelers of 47th Street.

Facet Security installs CCTV, door and safe alarms, and structured cabling for jewelry stores and offices in the Diamond District. Every job is drawn in 3D first, so you see where each camera, cable and alarm goes before you approve anything.

  • Plan first. 3D drawings come with every proposal.
  • Two options, line by line. Equipment and labor itemised separately.
  • One crew. The people who quote it are the people who install it.

See your system before it’s installed

Before anyone opens a ceiling tile, you get the whole job drawn in 3D: every camera, every door device and every cable run back to the cabinet. Here is a sample jewelry office, drawn the way we draw yours. The layout is invented for this demo; it is not a real store.

  • Every device gets its own CAT6 run, straight back to the network cabinet.
  • Battery backup keeps the cameras recording through a power cut.
  • Street door, glass door, vault door and safe are each alarmed.
3D overview of the sample jewelry officeA cut-away axonometric view of the sample office with its ceiling lifted off: sales floor with showcases, private viewing room, back office, network closet and vault room. Coloured camera symbols hang from the ceiling and orange CAT6 runs lead from every device back to the network cabinet.

The same office, in plan

Switch between the two proposal options, follow any run back to the cabinet, and select a device for its spec.

Sample jewelry office security plan A generic floor plan with an entry vestibule, sales floor with showcases, private viewing room, back office, network closet, staff corridor and vault room. Cameras, door and alarm devices are marked, with cable runs routed to a network cabinet. Use the device list beside the plan to explore each device.

What we install

Security, cabling and the quiet upgrades around them. Built for showrooms, back offices and vault rooms where a blind spot is never acceptable.

Plan-first engineering

Every job is drawn in 3D CAD before a single cable is pulled: an axonometric overview of the space, a camera layout plan with dimensions and a cable-run schedule, and mounting details for anything unusual. You see the system before you buy it, and the install follows the drawing.

  • 3D overview
  • Camera layout plan
  • Cable-run schedule
  • Mounting details

CCTV and camera systems

Camera layouts chosen by what each spot has to see: 360° domes for the floor, pinpoint cameras on the showcases, fisheyes for tight rooms and turrets on doors and corners. Recording runs to a dedicated NVR over PoE, and every camera gets its own CAT6 home run.

  • 360° dome
  • Pinpoint
  • Fisheye
  • Turret
  • NVR recorder
  • PoE switching

Door, glass and safe security

Steel main doors with electric strikes and door alarms, glass-door alarms, safe-door alarms and intercom viewer screens, so staff see who is buzzing before anyone opens up. Door access starter kits run on managed access and network gear that grows with you.

  • Steel main door
  • Strike and alarm
  • Glass-door alarm
  • Safe-door alarm
  • Intercom viewer
  • Access starter kit

Structured cabling and network

CAT6 through the ceiling plenum, terminated on keystones and plates, labelled at both ends and landed in a mountable network cabinet. Managed Wi-Fi for the shop, and battery backup so the cameras keep recording through a power cut.

  • CAT6 plenum runs
  • Keystones and plates
  • Network cabinet
  • Managed Wi-Fi
  • UPS battery backup

Plug-and-play digital upgrades

For long-established shops still running on paper: digital inventory, memo and consignment tracking, point of sale, digital records and camera viewing on your phone. Set up in your shop and taught on-site, at your pace.

How the switch works

3D printing for casting

Casting-ready resin patterns for jewelers, without buying a commercial production printer. Print your patterns with us, or we set up a right-sized printer in your shop.

Custom jewelry

Our founder still works at the bench. We know this street from the inside of a workshop, and that shapes how we protect yours.

Three sheets with every proposal

Our design partner PipeX draws each job in 3D CAD before we quote the install. These are generic samples of the set you receive: an overview, a camera layout with its cable schedule, and the mounting details.

SK-01, 3D overview. The whole space at a glance: rooms, showcases, ceiling cameras and the plenum routes back to the cabinet.
SK-02, camera layout plan. Every camera placed and dimensioned, with a run schedule so each cable is accounted for from device to port.
SK-03, mounting detail. How each device is fixed, fed and finished, so the ceiling looks as clean as the showroom below it.

Two options, priced line by line

Every proposal puts two complete options side by side. Each device is its own line, with equipment, material and labor listed separately, so you can see exactly what you are paying for and what you could add later. This sample matches the floor plan above.

Option A: Full system

Hatched cells are where prices sit on a real proposal.

Every line carries its own price, equipment and material are listed apart from labor, and nothing is bundled into a single total you cannot check. Quantities here match the sample plan: 11 cameras, 8 door and alarm points, 2 Wi-Fi points, 21 runs.

From site walk to handover

Five steps, the same on every job. You approve the drawing before anyone opens a ceiling tile.

  1. Site walk

We walk the space with you, after hours if you prefer, and note doors, ceilings, power and what each area needs to see. Measurements and photos stay with us and are never published.

  2. 3D CAD plan

PipeX draws the 3D overview, the camera layout with its cable schedule, and the mounting details.

  3. Option A and B proposal

Two complete options, itemised per device, with equipment and labor shown separately.

  4. Installation

Clean ceiling work, every run labelled at both ends, the cabinet dressed and tidy. Scheduled around your business hours.

  5. Handover and training

Cameras on your phone, a walkthrough for your staff, and a clear answer to who to call when something needs attention.

What you get at handover

Everything you need to run the system, and everything the next technician needs to service it.

  • A labelled cabinet. Every port matches the label at the device end.
  • The run schedule. Each cable listed: where it starts, where it lands, what it feeds.
  • An as-built drawing. The plan updated to match exactly what was installed.
  • Phone viewing, set up. Cameras on the owner’s phone and on any staff phones you choose.
  • A staff walkthrough. Arming, the intercom, door access and finding footage.
  • A who-to-call sheet. One page by the cabinet saying who to call, and for what.

From the memo book to your phone

Plenty of shops on the street have run on paper for decades: memo books, carbon receipts, a ledger behind the counter. It works, right up until you need to find a piece that went out on memo months ago. We set up plug-and-play systems that fit how you already work, and we teach them in your shop, at your pace.

Digital inventory
Every piece logged once, with stone details and location, searchable in seconds.
Memo and consignment tracking
Who has what, since when, and what is due back.
Point of sale
Sales, receipts and records in one place instead of three.
Digital records
Paper files scanned, organised and backed up.
Cameras on your phone
Check the shop from home, securely, without calling anyone.
Same records, now searchable, and the cameras in your pocket.

Casting patterns, printed right-sized

The street runs on castings, and most shops either send patterns out or look at commercial production printers that cost $50k–$100k installed. Most benches do not need that much machine.

Print with us

Send your CAD files and collect casting-ready resin patterns, supported and cleaned for investment.

A printer in your shop

We spec and set up a right-sized resin printer for your volume, then train your team to run it day to day.

A small crew that knows the street

No call centre and no rotating subcontractors in your ceiling. You deal with the same few people from the site walk to the handover.

The install crew

Two installers who walk the site, pull and terminate every run, and hand over the finished system themselves. The people who quote your job are the people in your ceiling.

PipeX, design partner

MEP design, BIM and Revit

Produces the 3D CAD drawings, layout plans and final renders that come with every proposal, so the system is settled on paper before it is built.

The bench

Our founder makes custom jewelry. We know this street from the bench, and we know what a back room and a vault have to protect.

Book a site walk

Tell us about the space and what worries you most about it. We will arrange a walk-through at a time that suits your hours, then send drawings and two options.

What do you need?
